Ann - This is Rob, next to you at the Blues Festival. These mandalas are so cool! I looked at just a few, but I'll come back and see more. Here are a couple of links to 1) some of my photos on a facebook page (Check out the album "All over the place"
I'm sure you know, but just in case - highlight the link (hold your "shift" key down and drag the cursor over the lines) and then copy ("Control" key plus "C"), and then paste it into your address bar at the top, and push "enter" or click the arrow. (I couldn't paste them in here as links, so that's the best I can do...And again - love your photoartcreation!
The word "mandala" means "circle" in Sanskrit. More than a simple shape, the circle represents the cycle of life and humanity, the wholeness and connectedness of all things. Many people use the image of a mandala for meditation and contemplation. Focusing on the center of the mandala allows one to quiet the mind, allowing a meditative state to be achieved.
Why not take a moment, right now, to focus on one of my mandalas that "speaks" to you. Allow yourself to breathe deeply and relax while staring at the center of the image. See where your awareness takes you. And don't forget to enjoy the journey~

I am an aspiring and enthusiastic photographer. Capturing nature is the name of the game for me...usually. But I have been known to drive friends & family a little crazy with my quest for a "perfect" picture. However, I will continue down this path and see where it takes me. I hope you'll join me by enjoying my photographs, and please feel free to comment as much as you like (and don't be shy about sharing my blog with your friends!). Thanks for visiting and come back any time. ~Annie
I have no idea how you do this, but it is so neat!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jean. I make my mandalas from my original photos with a program similar to Photoshop called GIMP. It's lots of fun.
